In Person
Immersion 1: Foundations

April 16-25, 2027
70 Hour Immersion | Baja Mexico

What will be covered:

  • Learn the foundations of designing thoughtful and immersive vinyasa classes that build with intention, creativity, and purpose. Explore how sequencing can support not only peak poses, but also the emotional, mental, and energetic experience of your students through philosophy, subtle body practices, and intelligent class progression. Develop the skills to create holistic classes that invite students to connect more deeply to themselves and their practice.

  • Create holistic vinyasa classes based not only on peak poses but also how to create Bhavana (mood) classes for all levels based on Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow Wave theory. Each participant will teach two classes to their peers during the program and will have the opportunity to receive feedback from their peers and Clara.

  • Hands-on can help students understand the alignment of how to pose for their bodies. Learn to discern what is needed for them to gain awareness and proper alignment in each shape. We will go over the standing series.

Virtual ~
Immersion 1: Integration

September 2027 - April 2028
160 Hour Immersion | on Zoom

What will be covered:

  • How to stay inspired as a teacher can be hard. We will go over different ways to stay creative, engaged and fulfilled as not only teachers but also practitioners.

  • You will learn modifications and alternatives for pregnant women for all three trimesters.

  • We will cover different mantras, their meanings, how to pronounce them properly and how to lead our students through them. We will also have a daily meditation practice, learning different techniques and how to guide our students through them.

  • Upon registration, you will be given a booklist. We will review 1-2 texts each day. Included in this list are the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Myth of Freedom, Tantra, Chakras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and a few others. We will dissect their meanings, discuss our experience of the readings, and go over how to apply them to the public class setting.

  • We will study different pranayama techniques, their effects, how to teach them and why they are beneficial. Everyone will practice teaching the group and receive feedback.

  • We review what it is, how to connect to it and how to make it accessible to our students. Included in this will be Pranayama, Boa Form (from a martial art I used to study called Chien Lung), visualization and mantras of the chakras and meditation.

  • The sister science of Yoga. We will explore the doshas, daily rituals, seasonal living, and practical tools to support balance in body and mind. Learn how Ayurvedic wisdom can deepen your personal practice while offering accessible ways to share these teachings with students.

Participants will learn variations, modifications, and approaches to integrating these practices into classes and personal practice.

  • Refine your understanding of hands-on support for more advanced postures, including inversions, arm balances, binds, and backbends. Learn to discern what is needed to support each student in gaining awareness, confidence, and alignment within more complex shapes. We will explore communication, consent, and practical tools for offering safe and effective assists.

  • Teaching yoga extends beyond the classroom. Melanie Emlyn | 500hr ARYT Yoga Teacher + Manual Osteopath

“The 300-hour training was everything I was looking for. As a Manual Osteopath, I’m very passionate about injury prevention and support and Clara educated us on the newest research regarding incorrect movements and common injures we’re seeing in the industry today.

Clara taught us what we can do as teachers to support our students through proper alignment, cueing and how to carefully craft a proper sequence that prepares the body and supports the intention. We learned how to find inspiration, flesh out theming that feels authentic to us and create impactful Bhavana (mood/atmosphere.)”

“Taking Clara's Vinyasa training was the most transformative experience in my practice and teaching since completing a 200-hour.

Alexandria Waycott | RYT 500 Full-time Yoga Teacher

“I completed Clara's 300-hour Program, and it exceeded all of my expectations.

Clara's training helped me break out of my comfort zone by giving me the skills to teach aspects of the practice that I wasn't previously confident in, such as leading mantra for a group.

Following Clara's training, I have been able to step into the role of offering continuing education for other yoga teachers in my community.

I'm so glad I chose to continue my yogic studies with Clara as it was the perfect step to help challenge me and push me towards growth as a teacher.”

Patti Schidlowsky | M.C. 200 HR RYT + Mental Health Counselor

Clara’s 300-Hour Teacher Training taught me to ask the ‘why’ in sequencing classes.

Clara inspired me to ask questions like: What is my purpose of including this pose? Does it align with my intention?Does it fit with the flow of the class?

The knowledge I gained in this training aligns with my aspirations as a teacher and human being.”

FAQs

  1. How long should I have been practicing yoga before attending?
We recommend at least 2 years of Vinyasa (Flow) yoga practice so that you have a basic understanding of all the poses, of your body and the general format for flow classes.

  2. Will we practice yoga daily?
Yes, there will be a 2-hour class led by Clara and, on many days, an extra class led by your peer.

  3. How much hands-on experience will I get?
You will start practicing teaching each other immediately. You will teach a 60-minute class during the course.

  4. How many students do you accept?
We allow for about 12-16 participants in the training depending upon location. We like everyone to have a chance to contribute throughout the training, and a smaller group means more connection!

  5. Do I need a 200-hour Certificate to participate?
No you do not need a 200-hour certificate. These immersions are open to everyone.

  6. Do I need to participate in all 3 immersions?
Yes, in order to receive the 300-Hour Program Certificate, you must do all 3 immersions. However, if you choose to only take 1 or 2 of the immersions you will be accredited for those contact hours (70 for in-person and 160 for virtual).

  7. Can I take this training even if I don’t want to teach yoga?
Absolutely! You can soak in all the studies and practices without writing the exam or practice-teaching. It’s an incredible opportunity to explore the deepest aspects of yourself, either way. And we often find that many people end up realizing during the course, that they were in fact passionate about teaching all along!

  8. How should I prepare for the training?
Read all the books, take yoga classes at least 3 times per week and watch your inbox for homework from us! You will receive your manual on Day 1.

  9. What happens if I have to miss a few days?
We cannot allow for more than two days missed, unfortunately (outside of emergency situations). For the time that must be missed, there will be extra assignments and class observations to help make up for contact hours.

  10. When does the training fill up?
This is something we cannot predict, we recommend reserving your spot when you have decided. We usually sell out 30 days prior to the start date.
