Friday - Adjustments 101 & The Standing Series
5-9pm
Creating a safe space for our students and ourselves is the most important task we have as yoga teachers in a class.
We’ll start the weekend discussing different methods for asking for consent, the difference between adjustments and enhancements, how to move around the room with confidence and different ways we can remain grounded as we teach.
Next we’ll go over poses in the Standing Series. We will cover the poses in the sun salutations as well as the standing series: triangle, side angle, warrior 1 &2, revolved chair and lunge and more.
Saturday - Inversions & Backbends*
9am-2pm
Inversions and backbends can be powerful poses to teach us about ourselves. This workshop will break down the fundamentals of these poses along with how to assist your students confidently as the explore this bigger postures.
If you have requests for particular poses, please let me know on your registration form.
Sunday - Review and Application*
9am-2pm
We’ll spend the day going over all the adjustments and refining how we approach and come out of each of the assists.
